The Orgosolo Film Festival (OFF) is a film competition promoted and organized by the Cultural Association RTS – Radio Televisione Sarda, dedicated to cinema of protest, struggle, and resistance.

A meeting place for directors, authors, artists, and audiences, it aims to promote cinema as a tool for reflection, critique, and social change.

OFF was founded in 2025 in the heart of Sardinia, a region that symbolizes identity and cultural resistance, and presents itself as an international showcase for films capable of questioning the current times.

Registrations are now open for the
2026 competition

We are looking for works that address themes of protest and social activism, including: environment, human rights, labor, marginalization, cultural identity, inequality, territorial and social issues.
Participation is open to:
Directors and producers of all nationalities
Any works regardless of year, genre, format, or technique
Films that are released or unreleased, distributed or undistributed

WHAT TO EXPECT

Screenings:
Films are presented and screened in the heart of town, before a discerning and engaged audience, through both competition screenings and special sections.
Training and professional development:
Masterclasses and training sessions offer filmmakers the opportunity to engage with film professionals while exploring cinematic languages, techniques, and creative visions.
Meetings and discussions with filmmakers and experts:
Dedicated spaces for talks about socially-engaged and investigative cinema, where filmmakers and audiences can discuss the social issues addressed in the films on show.
Evening events with socializing, music, and performances:
The festival continues beyond the screen with concerts and live performances that transform the evenings into moments of sharing and celebration.
Cultural experiences in the local area:
Guided tours and cultural itineraries allow guests to discover the historical and artistic identity of Orgosolo, from museums and local traditions to its renowned mural paintings.
Closing ceremony:
The festival concludes by celebrating the winning films in a public event attended by the public, press, and industry professionals.
Hospitality and organization:
A dedicated organising team is responsible for welcoming guests, managing operations, and coordinating activities in preparation for and during the Festival.
